Do you have any equipment in your kitchen cupboards?

that you really wanted, bought, used once or twice and now it gathers dust? I have several, a bread maker, a George Foreman grill, a yogurt maker, an electric juicer.

A george foreman grill, a sandwich press, a blender, a kitchenaid mixer (bought the professional one and used it once). Had a bunch more things like that but got tired off moving them and tossed them out.

Interior Decorating Styles And Home Remodeling

Tips on remodeling your home. Why people remodel. How to save money remodeling.

Sooner or later in the life of your home, you will have to face the task of remodeling. Even people who have bought brand new homes have realized that after a few years, they will need to fix some things or make necessary changes to meet lifestyle changes. Remodeling your home can add a great deal of value, and if you update it properly to suit your needs, you can make your life easier in the long run. You don’t really have to move in order to have the house that suits your changing family needs; a home remodeling will address your needs more cheaply and easily.

Simple changes, such as taking a wall down to open the kitchen into the dining area, or to make a living room or recreational room larger, can be easily tackled. A larger project such as a complete room addition, or remodeling a kitchen or bathroom will be a bigger drain on time and budget. Whether you are remodeling to make your home more useful, more attractive, or more suited to your growing family, you will find that remodeling your home will be a worthwhile investment.

You may choose to remodel for a specific purpose, or because your home is starting to show its age, and needs updating, or maybe a little of each. This is what frequently happens to most homeowners. They need a new room and bath, and then take the opportunity to change the siding instead of trying to match the old, change the front door to look better Wit the siding, etc., etc. The most popular subjects for home remodeling are the kitchen and bathroom; these are the rooms that look dated the most easily, and remodeling them adds the most value to the home. Anyone can spot a ten or twenty year old kitchen just by the colors of the appliances and flooring!

In preparing to sell your home, you may consider some home remodeling, since you want to get the best resale price you can. In this case, it is wise to concentrate on the kitchen and bathrooms; these are the rooms that home buyers look most closely at in making their decision. If you have a kitchen that is way out of date, or a bathroom with old fashioned tiles and fixtures, your prospective buyers will look elsewhere.

If you are handy, or have some friends or relatives who are, you may be able to do a great deal of the remodeling yourself. The labor involved in home remodeling is the biggest cost, so the more you can cut that done, the cheaper the project will be. Materials are usually the least cost factor, especially if you shop around for bargains and sales. You may not be able to install plumbing or put up a wall, but you can probably paint a room and haul away debris, thus saving on certain aspects of the job.

Taking on a project like this can be daunting, but if you take the right attitude, it can also be fun. Just think about how much nicer it will look and how much easier it will be to live in if you upgrade and make needed changes.

should i get rid of greenboard in my bathroom remodel?

i'm renovating our bathroom and there is greenboard under the tiles. should i continue to use it or use something else? what's wrong with greenboard anyway?
it's a tiny downstairs bathroom with a normals size three piece shower..nothing crazy. is greedboard ok here?

no don't get rid of greenboard…it is waterproof "drywall". That is why it is under the tiles, in case of a leak…leave it!!

Remodel Your Bathroom

You’re just brimming full of new ideas because you’ve just watched a television program that showed you how to completely redo your bathroom. From this program you now know how to turn your ordinary bathroom into a luxurious roman style bathing chamber. Before you embark on any bathroom remodeling though you might want to call in the professionals.

Yes, I know that you know exactly what you need to do to get your Roman bathroom, oops bathing chamber, but you should still get the advice of professionals. From these people you can find out the various materials that you will have to buy and the good shops where you can get discounts.

In addition you will be able to get some bathroom remodeling advice on the placement of the various equipment and items that you will be placing in your bathing chamber. Once you know all of this advice and information then you can start looking for the various items that you will have to get and in some cases buy.

Now having gotten everything on your list the first thing that you will need is a plan of how your bathroom remodeling is going to take place. This plan must be written down and it should take into account all of the measurements that you will need. The next step is to see if you are going to be able to fit everything that you want inside of your new Roman style bathing chamber.

When you have everything finally ready for the big job of bathroom remodeling I suggest that you take out all of the non-essentials. This means your toothbrush, toothpaste, cosmetic stuff, towels and other such things. Well Im sure that you know the things youll have to take out before you begin on your bathroom remodeling.

The first step, if you aren’t breaking any walls, is to paint your bathroom ceiling in a bright warm color. This will make the bathroom seem bigger. Then decide how you’re going to make the room look larger without any hazards to your purse. You could place some mirrors in a few places so that you have a larger looking room. The mirrors if they are placed right will give the illusion of a bigger bathing chamber.

Now carefully place the accessories that you need for your bathroom remodeling in their final places. Without breaking anything fix these items with screws, or glue them in place. After you have everything ready and you realize it looks nothing like the Roman bath you wanted, you can frantically call a professional remodeling company to put things in order.

I vote for the remodeling company since your bathroom remodeling didn’t give you a Roman style luxurious bathing chamber. You should let the professionals know how you want your bathroom to look like. Ask for the cost of the entire remodeling and if you’re satisfied then leave them to it. Now go and grab a coffee and think what other rooms you can remodel.
